Dr. Daniel Richmond

Dr. Daniel is excited to welcome you to Kallos Orthodontics in the community where he grew up—North London! Opening his own practice here is a dream come true, allowing him to provide the community with confident, beautiful smiles. With extensive training in orthodontics, Dr. Daniel is committed to offering personalized, high-quality care to every patient.

His research during residency on the Medical Necessity of Orthodontic Care and experience in NYC treating patients with craniofacial differences greatly influence his treatment philosophy. He believes orthodontics is about more than just dental health and aesthetics; it can also enhance social opportunities, relationships, and self-esteem. Dr. Daniel is dedicated to helping you achieve your ideal smile, in a way that fits your lifestyle.

Outside of work, Dr. Daniel loves to travel, eat healthy, and exercise. If you have any gym tips or travel recommendations, he’d love to hear them! He looks forward to meeting you and being part of your journey to a more confident smile.

    Dental school

    McGill Unversity (2015-19)

    Dr. Daniel began his dental education at McGill University in Montreal, where he developed a solid foundation in dentistry. Living in Montreal was an enriching experience that significantly shaped his professional journey. McGill is renowned for providing extensive exposure to orthodontics, which sparked Dr. Daniel's passion for the specialty.

    Paediatric dentistry

    Dr. Jeff’s Office (2019-20)

    After dental school, Dr. Daniel spent a year working at his father's pediatric dental office in London. This experience was invaluable, allowing him to treat younger patients and gain a deep understanding of dental development. Working alongside his dad not only strengthened their bond but also provided Dr. Daniel with insights into the early stages of dental growth and the issues that can arise before patients reach the orthodontic chair.

    Orthodontic residency

    University of Toronto (2020-23)

    Dr. Daniel continued his education with an orthodontic residency at the University of Toronto. Here, he received solid training and exposure to a variety of orthodontic systems, allowing him to pick and choose the best techniques and approaches from each instructor. His residency also included an intriguing research project on the "medical necessity of orthodontics," a topic he is always happy to discuss.

    Craniofacial fellowship

    New York University (2023-24)

    Dr. Daniel completed a fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics in NYC, where he treated patients with facial differences, including cleft lip and palate and craniosynostosis. This advanced training allowed him to handle some of the most complex cases in orthodontics and taught him to think outside the box. Through this fellowship, Dr. Daniel gained invaluable experience and honed his skills in providing specialized care for patients with unique orthodontic needs.
